Frank Wall Scholarship for 2015 CLC Winter School

The Canadian Labour Congress is offering the Frank Wall Leadership Development Scholarship to all union members interested in taking the Parliamentary Procedures and Public Speaking Course at the upcoming Canadian Labour Congress Winter School at Harrison Hot Springs. This course is offered during the week of January 18-23, 2015, or February 15-20, 2015.  For a course description, please click here.
 
The scholarship covers tuition, accommodations, meals, travel costs (arranged through the CLC), and wage loss. Successful candidates will be contacted by the CLC by December 21, 2014.
 
The scholarship is open to applicants who submit a written application form and accompanying essay of no more than two pages in length (300-500 words) on the topic: “What is the greatest challenge facing the labour movement and what skills are essential for today’s leaders?”
 
Applications and essays must be submitted to HSA by email to @email, by mail to 300 5118 Joyce Street, Vancouver, BC  V5R 4H1, or by fax to 604 439 0976 or 1 800 663 6119 and must be received Monday, December 15, 2014.  Applications require an HSA Authorizing Officer signature before they can be forwarded to the CLC for their consideration.
