Education Officer - Posted September 9, 2021

The Health Sciences Association of BC requires an Education Officer to support the union’s efforts in education related to union steward and activist development using a range of strategies including instructor-led face-to-face learning, online instruction, and mentoring. The successful applicant will help engage HSA members to become active and proficient in union programs such as enforcing the collective agreement, grievance handling, occupational health and safety advocacy, political action, member engagement and mobilizing.

Labour Relations Officer - DTA, Benefits and Pensions (Permanent Full-Time) - Posted August 6, 2021

Under the general direction of the Membership Services Coordinator - Disability Management, the LRO will represent HSA members and assist EDMP Representatives and Stewards with respect to issues arising from Duty to Accommodate and Return to Work situations, the LRO will also respond to basic inquiries from members and act as an internal resource on matters related to health and welfare benefits, and/or pension matters.

Records Archivist (Permanent Full-Time) - Posted July 22, 2021 - closing date extended to Sept. 24, 2021

Under the supervision of the Manager of Information Services, the Archivist will work with, and learn about HSA specific Records Management from the Records Administrator in order to gain an advanced understanding of the history and the current state of the HSA records system. The Archivist will utilize their education, experience, skills and advanced knowledge of the HSA system to modernize the Records Department with new ideas and processes using next-level technology.

Labour Relations Officer - Classifications (Temporary Full-Time) - Posted July 21, 2021

Under the general direction of the Membership Services Coordinator - Classifications, the LRO is responsible for supporting HSA stewards in the administration of the classification provisions of HSA’s collective agreements including analyzing job descriptions, negotiating directly with employers and grievance handling. She/he is also an internal resource to other staff on classification matters.
