The BCFED’s Climate Justice and Jobs Committee is undertaking a major project: developing a labour-led worker-centered Climate Justice and Jobs Plan for BC. And we’re asking you to join us.

Our climate and economy are changing, and workers and communities are facing those impacts head-on: workplace closures, wildfire evacuations, floods, cold stress on construction sites, heat stress in schools, and more. We’re aiming to build a climate strategy built around a strong workforce plan that protects and creates good, union jobs — one that ensures working people benefit as our economy changes, instead of shouldering the burden of disruption.

To do that, we need to hear from the workers who are affected by these disruptions, and ensure their voices guide our work.

Join us for a guided discussion regarding the impacts HSA members are facing in their work and their community from the changing climate and economy.

Please note: this event will be held on-site at the HSA head office in New Westminster and is not eligible for travel reimbursement or wage replacement. Dinner will be provided.
