HSA Multi-Site Team Training/Grievance Handling Workshop in Penticton! September 30, 2019

An HSA Multi-site Team Training and Grievance Handling Workshop has been arranged for all General and OH&S Stewards at Penticton Regional Hospital, OSNS Child Development Centre and SOWINS (S.Okanagan Women in Need Soc.) 

This workshop is open to general and OH & S stewards and those considering joining their local steward team.  You will develop skills in interpreting your Collective Agreement and the grievance process; including grievance handling skills.   The participants' will learn how to talk to members who have contract interpretation questions and to coach them on how to effectively discuss their issues with their Employer.  We'll also spend time on the roles within your steward team, how to manage the work of your steward team, and organizing your chapter. 

Breakfast is not included.  Lunch will be included.

Reimbursement for Travel Expenses:

Participants traveling on approved HSA business are reimbursed for receipted travel expenses.

Unless otherwise approved, HSA pays for participant's travel (mileage or alternate fare, and wage replacement) in the way that is most reasonable and least expensive overall.

When a member uses his/her personal vehicle for travel, reimbursement will be at the rate equivalent to maximum Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA) non-taxable allowance effective January 1, 2019.

HSA will reimburse for all public transit.
