HSA Virtual Multi-site Team Training/Grievance Handling Workshop! June 22, 2021


Hello HSA Stewards!

An HSA invite only Virtual Multi-site Team Training and Grievance Handling Workshop has been arranged for all General and OH&S Stewards at Vancouver Island Mental Health Society, Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria General Hospital.

This workshop is open to invited General, OH&S Stewards and those considering joining their local steward team. Participants will learn the role of the steward in investigations and Stage 2 meetings.  The participants will learn how to talk to members who have contract interpretation questions and to coach them on how to effectively discuss their issues with their Employer.  We'll also spend time discussing how to address workload issues, roles within your steward team, how to manage the work of your steward team, and organizing your chapter.

TIME: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
LOCATION: Virtually via WebEx

Participants will receive wage replacement, and pre-approved dependent care costs for virtual workshops in accordance with HSA Policy.  Please note, no meal per diems will be provided.
