June Workshop Series: June 25 2025
In response to member interest in learning more about Palestine and Israel, HSA is offering a workshop series in June to provide information and an opportunity to learn about the history of the region and gain a better understanding of how antisemitism and Islamophobia are present in our society.
These workshops are intended to provide a variety of views and perspectives for individuals to consider in addition to their own research and personal experiences.
June 25th – Labour 4 Palestine | Palestine 101: What Workers can Do 7 – 9 pm Pacific Time
Participants will receive a brief introduction to the history of Palestine, an exploration of the term ‘Israeli Apartheid’ and how international bodies came to this assessment. We will also examine how Canada is complicit in this apartheid system, why Palestine is a workers issue and what you and your unions can do to help the cause. We will end the workshop with a brief question/discussion period.
