Labour Council Delegate: Training and Networking

Strong labour councils help unions deliver for their members and our communities which means a better quality of life for everyone. That’s the power of solidarity. That’s the power of the labour movement in Canada.

As the link between your HSA chapter and the local labour council, you let other unions know about the issues we face, and your chapter know about the work being done by unions in your area to achieve our larger goals of equity and justice.

Labour councils, and HSA labour council delegates, also speak with those elected to government at the local, provincial and federal level. These relationships, especially with mayors, councillors, and Members of Parliament, are important to the labour movement and HSA. To support these conversations, labour council delegates are invited to join a half-day government relations workshop, followed by an informal networking hour.

This workshop will be online.
