CBA 2025-2029 Ratification Hub

Prior to bargaining, your union heard directly from CBA members on their priorities for their next contract. At the bargaining proposals conference, members just like you provided clear direction that wages, wage-parity with the Facilities Bargaining Association and improvements in a number of key areas such as portability, premiums, coverage of required fees, and more were paramount for your bargaining team to address with the employer.

While your bargaining committee made significant progress on a number of non-monetary and administrative proposals in the summer of 2025, negotiations reached an impasse in October due to a lack of progress on wages and a number of acute bargaining priorities. Your bargaining committee turned to you to ask you to demonstrate your support for their work through a strike vote, and you responded with a historic 92.3% yes vote. This mandate sent a clear message to the employer on the need to secure a respectful and fair deal for all CBA members. With the strike vote in hand, your bargaining committee pushed the government to provide full wage comparability with the FBA and address the outstanding issues.

This agreement represents the overwhelming solidarity between workers across seven unions and your Board of Directors recommends that you vote YES in favour of the tentative collective agreement.
