2009 Run for the Cure: Register today for Team HSA
This years annual Run for the Cure, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's most important fundraiser, is Sunday October 4.
HSA has supported the run since 1997, and is one of three regional sponsors of the Run for the Cure. At every step from diagnosis to treatment and recovery, highly trained health science professionals use their expertise to help breast cancer patients.
The union urges HSA members and others to join the HSA team to run or walk for the cure October 4.
This year in BC, the run will be held in Abbotsford, Castlegar, Golden, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Port McNeill, Prince George, Vancouver, Vernon, and Victoria. Team HSA members can participate in any community.
To register today, visit our Run for the Cure page and follow the links to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundations registration page. Note you will have to register first, and join the team near the end of the on-line registration process.
All HSA members who register and raise $150 before Sept 1 will receive a pedometer.
THINK PINK WEEK September 14-18: To prepare for the run and to raise awareness of the crucial role HSAs health science professionals play in the diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of breast cancer patients, HSAs Run for the Cure committee encourages members to participate in Think Pink Week. Register for HSAs Run team on or before September 18 to be eligible to win an early bird cash prize of $100.
