All HSA members invited to watch proceedings of annual convention April 28-30; register to receive the webstream link by April 11
This year, HSA will be offering a video stream of the proceedings of Convention 2022 to allow all HSA members the opportunity to tune in to observe registered delegates debate resolutions forwarded from HSA chapters across the province, and set the union’s course for the coming year at the union’s 51st annual convention being held April 28-30 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver.
While all members are entitled to observe the union’s annual conventions, this is the first time in HSA’s history that a video stream is being made available for members to join in remotely to watch as more than 300 members carry out the union’s important governance work.
The video stream is for viewing only. Members watching through the webstream will not be able to join debate or vote on resolutions.
To receive a registration link to watch the video stream, please sign up at following link: HSA Events (hsabc.org). Registration for HSA member observers is now open and closes at midnight on April 11, 2022.
Convention kicks off on Thursday, April 28 at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and runs Friday, April 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m, and Saturday, April 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There is no cost to register for the webstream link. Members are not entitled to union leave or wage replacement to observe the convention.
Please note that the video feed is streamed on a delay. Voting delegates must be present in the convention hall to participate in debate and voting.
