Bargaining update: West Coast Medical Imaging

Members are advised that HSA anticipates active negotiations with West Coast Medical Imaging will get underway in April. HSA has proposed a number of dates for bargaining, and is working with the employer to finalize those dates.
　
Before contract talks begin, your bargaining committee will be meeting to finalize the union’s proposals. Your elected bargaining representatives are Lee McKellar and Jenn Frost from Victoria, and Gary Finnerty and Fran Wagner from the Lower Mainland. Alternate committee members are Eric Leclerc and Adesh Kahlon. The alternates will step in if committee members are unable to fulfill their responsibilities at the bargaining table.
　
In preparation for bargaining, HSA surveyed all members last winter about your priorities for bargaining, and held meetings in November and December to review the surveys. HSA members elected your bargaining committee members at those meetings. The bargaining committee met in January to review and discuss the bargaining proposals, and will meet again in April to finalize the proposals.
　
HSA has requested costing documentation from the employer to help inform the union’s position at the bargaining table.
