2007 Canadian Labour Congress
WINTER SCHOOL
The BC Federation of Labour offers two scholarships for attendance at the 2007 CLC Winter School:
- The Debra Mills Scholarship is intended for persons with disabilities to attend a one-week course. See attached course schedule or check the CLC website <http://pacific.clc-ctc.ca/> for more information. The scholarship will be decided by a lottery draw on January 10, 2007.
The Winter School will be held during the following weeks:
Week One: January 21 ... 26, 2007 Week Two: January 28 ... February 2, 2007 Week Three: February 4 ... 9, 2007 Week Four: February 11 ... 16, 2007
- The Donna Sheaves Memorial Scholarship is for a union woman to attend the Women in Leadership course. Applicants must write a letter as outlined in the attached application form.
Women in Leadership (Week One)
This course offers union women an opportunity to develop and enhance their leadership skills and knowledge in a variety of current and emerging labour issues. A major component of the course will cover communication and motivational skills that are important for women activists at all levels. Participants will leave the course ready to take an active role in their union.
Applications for both of these scholarships must be received
at the BC Federation office by January 4, 2007.
