Central American tour planned to learn about HSA-supported projects

Solidarity is more than making donations. Personal contact and relationships between people from the north and the south can be as important as money.

In partnership with CoDevelopment Canada,  HSA has supported the Honduran women workers organization CODEMUH, and the Salvadoran Association for Integrated Health and Social Services (APSIES) in Central America.  In March 2009, a tour will visit both projects and provide opportunities to do some rural community health work.

More information on CODEMUH and APSIES can be found on the CoDev website, www.codev.org, in the What We Do section.

The tentative dates for the tour are March 21 to March 31, 2009.  The approximate cost of the trip is $3,000, which includes air fare, ground transportation, accommodation and meals.  A deposit of $500 will be required before December 25, 2008 in order to book flights.
