Dear Members,

At HSA, we recognize that the workplace has been very challenging for various reasons these last few years and that it is more important than ever to strengthen our sense of solidarity, respect, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace. This includes actively building more supportive relationships in your teams, more welcoming workplaces, and ensuring that workplaces better protect everyone’s mental health. HSA wants to make sure that everyone feels included, welcomed, and valued at their workplace.

That is why we are inviting everyone to take part in this special member survey. This survey is your opportunity to share how you experience belonging, inclusion and support in your workplace and is an opportunity for HSA to learn about where gaps in feeling inclusion and belonging exist and how HSA can better support building inclusion in your workplace.

The survey is voluntary and anonymous. Any identifying information will be kept confidential and not reported out. The anonymized research results will be disseminated within HSA and more broadly, as appropriate, to inform the member-led development of HSA tools and resources. This research will better equip the union to protect member rights, promote occupational health and safety, and in the long-term, to build systemic supports and solutions for members experiencing marginalization at work.
