CML members at LifeLabs locations must use alternate entrances during BCGEU job action BCGEU members who work at private medical laboratories owned by LifeLabs will begin rotating strikes at various LifeLabs locations on Monday, January 21 and Tuesday, January 22.

HSA members working at CML locations that share a common main entrance with LifeLabs may encounter a BCGEU picket line at their worksites. HSA members are to honour the picket line by using an alternate entrance to your workplace. Members are also encouraged to support BCGEU members on the picket line during your breaks and off-duty hours.

Joint CML/LifeLabs locations where BCGEU members are expected to engage in job action on January 21 and 22 are as follows:

Vancouver:

888 West 8th Ave., from 8:30 am Monday, January 21st to 4:00 pm Tuesday, January 22nd

Victoria:

1900 Richmond Ave., Monday, January 21st only, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

1595 Mackenzie Ave., from 7:30 am Monday, January 21st to 4:00 pm Tuesday, January 22nd

1641 Hillside Ave., from 7:30 am Monday, January 21st to 5:30 pm Tuesday, January 22nd

1990 Fort St., from 8:00 am Monday, January 21st to 4:30 pm Tuesday, January 22nd

101 Burnside Rd. West, Tuesday, January 22nd only, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

This bulletin is being sent to all HSA members working at CML sites for whom we have e-mail addresses. CML stewards and other HSA members working at CML are asked to share this information with your HSA co-workers, and to encourage all HSA members to e-mail their full name and e-mail address to @email. This will allow us to keep all CML members informed, as we receive more information about ongoing job action at LifeLabs that may affect our members.

Stewards working at CML locations that share a common main entrance with LifeLabs are also asked to post this bulletin on the union bulletin board at your worksite.
