Election for HSA board member to be held in Region 7
During the next several weeks, HSA members in Region 7 will have an opportunity to elect their representative on the HSA Board of Directors.
Nominations for the position closed on February 8, 2007 with two members declaring their candidacy: Marg Beddis, a Dietitian at Surrey Memorial Hospital, and Audrey MacMillan, current Regional Director for Region 7 and a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with Chilliwack General Hospital.
In the coming weeks, all HSA members in Region 7 will receive an election package in the mail which includes voting instructions, candidate biographies, a ballot and a return envelope.
Ballots must be received in the HSA office no later than:
5 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2007.
All members are strongly urged to exercise their democratic right to choose a representative to the Board of Directors by participating in this important process.
The results of the election will be announced the week of April 2. The successful candidate will assume the position of Regional Director for a two-year term at the conclusion of the 2007 HSA Convention.
