Election underway for Region 8 Director

Four candidates have been nominated to run for Regional Director in Region 8. A by-election was called following the resignation of Joan Magee as Region 8 Director. The new Director will serve the remainder of Magees 2-year term, ending at the conclusion of HSAs 2012 convention.
The 4 candidates seeking election are:
- Cherylee Hale, Cardiology Technologist at Kelowna General Hospital
- Lynn Kelsey, Womens Support Worker and Safe Home Coordinator at South Okanagan Women in Need Society (SOWINS)
- Allen Peters, Medical Imaging Technologist at Nicola valley General Hospital
- Kevin Towhey, Medical Imaging Technologist at Royal Inland Hospital
Voting packages including information about all the candidates and a mail-in ballot will be mailed to all members in Region 8 this week. Information about the candidates is also posted here on the HSA website.
Ballots must be returned to the HSA office by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 29. Region 8 members who do not receive a voting package by June 10 should contact Pattie McCormack at the HSA office.
