HSA convention registration deadline April 17 2 p.m.

Eligible HSA members intending to register as delegates to HSAs 36th Annual Convention, which includes the election of a new president, April 19 to 21, 2007 are advised that the final deadline for registration as a delegate is 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007.

Registrations must be received in the HSA office by 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2007.

Absolutely no exceptions will be made to this deadline.

Eligibility for delegate status as outlined in the HSA constitution is as follows:

In Chapters with 49 or fewer members, the HSA Chief Steward or Alternate is automatically the delegate. This is the only Chapter member allowed to vote at Convention.

Chapters with more than 49 members are entitled to elect an additional delegate for every 50 members (or portion thereof), as per Article 7, Section 5 of the Constitution.

These additional delegates must be:

• Employed in the Chapter they seek to represent.
• A member of HSA as per Art. 5, Sec. 1(a) of the HSA Constitution
• Nominated and elected at a Chapter meeting to elect delegates

In addition, all HSA Members-at-Large and Regional Directors are automatic delegates to the Convention.
