HSA election campaign school

Do you want to work to elect representatives in the coming federal election who will support public health care and community social services, and who respect the work that HSA members perform?  Have you ever considered running for elected office yourself?  If your answer to one or both of these questions is -Yes!" (or even just -Maybe"), then HSAs non-partisan campaign school is for you.

This workshop is designed for HSA members with little or no experience in electoral politics.  We will focus on preparing for the federal election thats expected in 2007, but will also discuss the 2008 municipal and 2009 provincial elections.

Workshop topics will include:

• Campaign positions (who does what)
• How to get involved
• How HSA can support members to run or work in elections.

Nomination campaigns for the federal election are already underway.  Election planning committees and campaign teams are starting their work.  NOW is the time to find out how you can make a difference in your riding.
