HSA members return Rachel Tutte as Region 6 Director
Rachel Tutte, a physiotherapist at Holy Family Hospital has been acclaimed as the Region 6 representative on the HSA Board of Directors after the February 7th deadline passed with no further nominations.
Rachel has been a member of HSA since 1986 when she started work at St. Marys Hospital in New Westminster. She soon became active in the union as a steward. Rachel currently serves on HSAs Education, Political Action and Resolutions Committees, and is an active constituency liaison.
A delegate to the Vancouver and District Labour Council, Rachel is active in the community and looks forward to helping HSA fight against the privatization of health care and strengthening the public health care system.
Rachel will begin her next two-year term at the conclusion of HSAs 2008 annual convention.
