HSPBA: Employer having trouble updating your pay rate?
The new 2025-2029 HSPBA collective agreement came into effect April 1, and members can expect to see their pay rate going up to reflect the negotiated pay increase of 3% per year retroactive to 2025. Your employer is responsible for making sure this happens effective the first pay period after April 1, but some of them may not succeed in updating their systems in time.
If you don't see your general wage increase included on your first paycheque for the pay period after April 1, contact your employer to ask them to tell you when they expect to get this implemented.
Working through the Health Employers Association of BC — the organization that represents your employers — the union is urging all health authorities and other HSPBA employers to implement the pay increases as soon as possible. HEABC has given assurances that this is a priority.
