It's the Final Two Weeks of the Federal Election. Do You Know Who You're Voting For?

It's about halfway through the current federal election, which means you have less than two weeks left to decide who you're voting for, and where and when you'll cast your ballot.

Whether your top issue is affordability, responding to American tariffs, or strengthening our public health care system, there's a lot at stake. The Canadian (also known as federal) government governs the entire country. It is responsible for areas of national interest such as immigration, defence and trade with other countries. It also distributes money to the provinces to pay for health care, social services, and equalization. That's why the federal election affects all of us!

HSA remains a non-partisan union, which means that we don't directly endorse any candidates or campaigns. However, as a proud part of the labour movement we know that political action is necessary to champion the changes working families need to improve their lives now and in the future. That's why we're sharing information from the Canadian Labour Congress, Canadian Health Coalition, and Elections Canada: so you have access to information that doesn't always land on the front page but is crucial to deciding who will support policies that put working people first.

Canadian Health Coalition: Vote Health Care

Use the Canadian Health Care campaign platform to contact your candidates today. Ask them for answers about defending and expanding public health care.

Here’s how it works:

The platform automatically finds the email addresses of the candidates in your riding using your postal code. We’ve already written a powerful email with questions on key health care issues for you. Just fill in your details, personalize the message if you’d like, and hit send. It takes less than two minutes to demand answers and hold your candidates accountable.

Ask your candidate if they support public health care
