Mandi Ayers acclaimed as Region 10 representative on HSA Board of Directors
Mandi Ayers will continue to represent HSA members in Region 10 on the HSA Board of Directors after the deadline for nominations passed with no further nominations.
Ayers has been a member of the union’s Board of Directors since April 2014, and has held a variety of positions in the union, including as a steward and member-at-large. She is a former HSA Vice-President and has chaired the union’s Women’s, Elections and HSPBA Bargaining committees, and has participated as a member of the union’s Finance, Education, Equality and Social Action committees, as well as HSA’s Climate Action Working Group. In addition, she is HSA’s representative on the BC Federation of Labour Women’s and Gender Rights Committee and the National Union of Public and General Employees Advisory Committee on Women’s Issues.
Ayers works as a laboratory technologist at the Haida Gwaii Hospital, and has been a member of HSA for 35 years.
Ayers’s two-year term runs until the conclusion of the 2024 HSA Annual Convention.
