Nominations open for HSA president

The next HSA Annual Convention will take place April 10 – 12, 2014 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

 All HSA members are welcome to attend and speak at the convention.  However, only delegates have the right to vote. At this year’s convention, delegates will elect a president to complete the 2013 – 2015 term.

This is a mid-term byelection, and will carry a term of one year, expiring at the end of the 2015 annual HSA convention. The president is elected by delegates to the union’s Annual Convention.

All members in good standing are eligible to run for president when nominated in writing by six members.

Nominations for president are open until the final call for nominations takes place on the last day of convention Saturday, April 12, 2014.

Candidates for president may submit a statement of up to 400 words and a photograph for inclusion in the Annual Report, circulated electronically to members prior to the convention.

The deadline for material to be included in the Annual Report is Friday, Feb. 28, 2014. Material should be sent to the HSA office at the address below or by email to @email.
