Reid Johnson acclaimed as Region 5 Director
HSA members in Region 5 have acclaimed Reid Johnson as their representative to the HSA Board of Directors. He was acclaimed after the February 8th deadline passed with no further nominations.
Reid is a vocational case manager at the Employment Resource Centre for Persons with Disabilities. He has been a member of HSA since 1990. He served on the Board of Directors from 1997 to 2002, and was returned to the Board in 2005.
He served as the unions Secretary-Treasurer for three years, and has been a trustee on all three of HSAs long term disability trusts. In addition to serving on several committees, he has served as a general, assistant, and chief steward.
Reid earned a Master of Social Work degree and is a certified family therapist. He was the Clinical Coordinator of Social Work at Shaughnessy Hospital before moving to the B.C. Centre for Ability in 1992 where he also served as Coordinator of Adult Vocational Services.
