Statement on the Passing of John Horgan

Kane Tse, President of Health Sciences Association of BC, today released the following statement:
 
On behalf of over 22,000 specialized health professionals in BC, I would like to note that our province has lost a great champion today.
 
John Horgan believed in a better future. He believed that we could get there together, by recognizing that everyone had value, by connecting with each other through the hopes we share, and that leadership was about bringing people together, not driving them apart.
 
In his time as Premier of British Columbia, he put this faith in the future to work for all of us, whether through his deep connection with the challenges faced by working people, his dedication to reconciliation in our province, or his profound respect for the importance of public service. John Horgan always had a story to share and always had a joke to crack. And he always did his level best to lead us all to that better future.
