Tell your MLA to help stop BCs user fee scheme for hospital care

Dear Friend of Medicare,
This week, take a moment to call your MLA and tell them to scrap BCs user fee scheme for hospital care.
During the Weeks of Action on Home and Community care, public health care supporters are meeting with decision-makers in dozens of BC ridings to demand a stop to hospital user fees and to improve home and community care services.
Join the call for action by phoning your MLA and asking them to help scrap new fees for core hospital services that were previously been provided free of charge as required by the Canada Health Act.
These fees unfairly penalize patients during their recovery, many of whom are likely to be elderly and suffer from chronic health conditions. Convalescent care is an integral part of hospital care and needs to be accessible to everyone, not only those who can afford to pay out of pocket for it.
