Three candidates for Region 5 byelection

During the next several weeks, HSA members in Region 5 will have an opportunity to elect their representative on HSA’s Board of Directors.

The byelection was required when Region 5 regional director Kimball Finigan was unable to continue to serve in the position. The successful candidate will fill the vacancy until the end of the term, which expires at the end of the 2015 HSA Convention in April.

Nominations for the position closed October 21, with three members declaring their candidacy:   • Ramzan Anjum, a Medical Laboratory Technologist at BC Children’s Hospital

• John Christopherson, a Counsellor at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver

• Doug Herasymuik, an Occupational Therapist at Sunny Hill Health Centre

In the coming weeks, all members in Region 5 will receive an election package in the mail which includes candidate biographies, voting instructions, a ballot, and a return envelope to mail your completed ballot back to HSA.

Ballots must be received in the HSA office no later than: 5:00 pm on Monday, November 25.
