UPDATED: Community Health Services and Support: Reminder to attend info meeting and cast your ballot
Posted
September 10, 2012
Strike vote meetings for all unionized workers in the sector continue this week.
In addition, some HSA members covered by the Community Health Services and Support contract will be voting by mail-in ballot.
HSA President Reid Johnson urged members to vote YES to back fair and reasonable demands.
-Community health services and support members deserve a fair wage increase and reasonable improvements to benefits," he said. -HSAs board of directors urges you to vote YES to give the bargaining team a strong mandate. A strong YES vote is our best chance to pressure the employer and government into reaching a fair deal."
The Community Bargaining Association represents more than 14,000 members, the majority of whom are represented by the BCGEU. Other unions at the table are HSA, UFCW, HEU, CUPE, and USWA.
