Val Avery acclaimed as Region 2 Director
HSA members in Region 2 have once again elected Val Avery as their representative to the HSA Board of Directors. Val was acclaimed after the February 1st deadline passed with no further nominations.
Val previously served as a Member-at-Large and for several years as Chief Steward at Victorias Royal Jubilee Hospital, where she works as a Physiotherapist.
Val has been the Region 2 Director since 2008, and HSAs Vice-President since 2009. As Vice-President, Val currently sits on the Executive Committee, and chairs both the Resolutions Committee and the Presidential Issues Committee. Val also serves as a trustee for the long term disability plan, and as HSAs representative on the board of the BC-Yukon Division of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
