The HSA Committee for Equality and Social Action (CESA) is urging all HSA members in the Lower Mainland to participate in this years Walk for Peace, Justice and Sustainability on Saturday, June 24 in Vancouver.  The walk is being held in conjunction with the World Peace Forum which was enthusiastically endorsed by delegates to HSAs 2006 annual convention in April. HSA members will gather at 12:00 noon at Canada Place, in front of the Convention Centre (-the sails") on the Stanley Park side.  Look for the HSA flags!

Telus Tour for the Cure arrives in Penticton

HSA members are invited to attend the official opening for the TELUS Tour for the Cure in Penticton on Wednesday, June 14 at 11 a.m. at the Cherry Lane Shopping Centre. The TELUS Tour for the Cure is an informative and interactive exhibit that will travel to communities across British Columbia over the next eight months to promote the value and importance of breast health and mammography screening.  The Tour is part of a campaign by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to help women detect smaller tumors earlier.
